Dreams often mark the beginning of a challenging journey. However, they also empower people to navigate through those challenges. Neng Nisa, a 2020 graduate of Rudi Rüssel Akademie, experienced both. Her dream of working and living abroad gave her the strength to embark on a difficult yet rewarding journey to make that dream a reality.
This dream formed during her vocational high school years and intensified when her parents faced financial difficulties. Instead of giving up, Neng Nisa became even more determined to secure a better future. She began researching programs abroad, from internships in Japan and Korea to finally discovering the Ausbildung program in Germany. Despite her economic struggles, Neng Nisa found ways to pursue her dream.
Initially, Neng Nisa was unsure how to start, given her family’s financial constraints. Fortunately, her parents were very supportive, playing a significant role in her journey. They sought help from relatives to find a way.
Right after graduating from vocational high school, Neng Nisa and her parents attended an Ausbildung seminar hosted by Rudi Rüssel Akademie. Her dream grew even stronger, leading her to enroll at Rudi Rüssel Akademiein 2020. For six months, she diligently studied German. “The reason I studied so hard was my parents,” Neng Nisa explained. In October 2020, she left for Germany for the first time, feeling a mix of happiness for achieving her dream and sadness for leaving her parents. Yet, her determination to create a better future and make her parents proud never wavered.
Neng Nisa chose to specialize in Restaurant Service (Restaurantfachfrau) for her Ausbildung program due to the high demand and numerous opportunities in this field. “The journey to this point wasn’t easy. I had to overcome many obstacles, from learning the language and passing exams at the Goethe Institute to handling paperwork and interviews with German employers,” she said.
Over the next few years, Neng Nisa focused on her studies and completing her Ausbildung program. She successfully completed the program a year ago and has now been living in Germany for nearly four years. She has achieved many goals, including building her dream house in Cianjur, helping her father retire early, and traveling to Paris, Amsterdam, and other states of Germany. When she visits Indonesia, she not only reunites with her parents in Cianjur but also takes vacations in Bali. Her ability to support her parents and repay the help from relatives has made her parents deeply proud.
Rudi Rüssel Akademie witnessed Neng Nisa’s determination to build a better future. “Studying at Rudi Rüssel was intense, from morning till late afternoon. But the most fun part was the German Traveling program, where we had to speak German the whole time. It was my favorite part,” she said. At Rudi Rüssel , she also met fellow students who shared her journey, making her feel less alone, and was guided by dedicated educators.
Neng Nisa is grateful for her decision to join the Ausbildung program in Germany, which opened doors for her career and future plans. “I never imagined I would come this far in chasing my dreams,” she said. This experience taught Neng Nisa to always be diligent, put in her best effort, and leave the rest to God.
Despite her successful career, working in the hospitality industry requires a strong mentality. The industry isn’t always as smooth as it seems, but the positive feedback from supervisors and satisfied restaurant guests makes it worthwhile. These experiences also add color to Neng Nisa’s life.
“My message to those considering the Ausbildung program: You need to prepare not only mentally but also physically. Here, you’ll be working and studying in German full-time. Remember to be patient, resilient, put in the effort, pray, and seek your parents’ blessings for a smooth journey,” Neng Nisa advised.
So, Leute, let Neng Nisa’s story motivate you to transform your future. With diligence and perseverance, you can achieve your dreams.
Keep chasing your dreams, Neng Nisa!
